Do Not Buy Speedy PC till you read this first!
Who are they? : SpeedyPc ™ is a product of Speedy PC Software based out of Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Software description: As mentioned on their website, SpeedyPC is a powerful computer utility that allows a user to increase their system speed, reduce error messages, and eliminate desktop clutter. SpeedyPC scans the Windows Database for junk data, and provides an advanced Tuner (Start-up Tuner) to optimize system start up time and improve overall performance. With SpeedyPC, you can eliminate the problems that cause a slow computer, error messages, and desktop clutter.
Compatibility: SpeedyPC works only on windows based operating systems: Windows 7 (Both 32/64 – bit), Vista, XP, ME, 2000 and 98SE Operating Systems.
Website: SpeedyPc website is a very well designed one; menu options are easy to navigate, it has FAQs, support and articles with more information that can be useful. Good tips and overall a good knowledge base.
Download: With a bad internet connection of just 564 kbps, it took less than a minute to download a 2.89MB file.
Installation/Scan: Took just a few seconds to install SpeedyPc software. My computer configuration Laptop Acer 5920GIntel Centrino, 4 GB ram, Radeon 256mb, loaded with Windows Vista. It’s loaded with quite a few .exe files and some Trojans, lots of junk software, adware etc.
What I like the best about SpeedyPC are the other options that are available:
Restore – It has a complete backup of all the scans that you would have performed with a date tag and your system can be restored back to the original configuration should you feel that something has been deleted by accidently.
Tuner – Another good option available to play with SpeedyPC is the Tuner where you can select or the deselect applications you want to run at start-up. Your start-up files are usually the reason for slow boot up of your pc. By using this option you can boost the speed by which your system boots.
Couple of other great options with SpeedyPc which I have not seen in many PC cleaners is that you can actually schedule SpeedyPC to run any time you want, for single or multiple scans say once a month, really nice. The ignore lists allows you to pick some registry ddl files that you do not want to scan and add to list so that SpeedyPC can ignore them when run.
Errors Found: Did a quick scan, took about 2 min, and got a detailed report on the scan with 1500 errors, most of the junk detected had corrupt dll files, active error, registry file errors etc. It was a good report although it could have been more detailed for the technical guys.
I clicked to clear errors; got a pop up saying some errors have been cleared but need a full version which takes me to their site to purchase.
Order Purchase: Pretty neat form, filled in my name and email address and got to a page to select my license. You get an option to pick for single, 2, 3, 5 or 10 computers for all SpeedyPc softwares.

Payment method: My favourite mode PayPal was available apart from most credit cards that are accepted.
Cost: $29.97 after $10 off is pretty decent compared other softwares that I have come across. Price for multiple licences works out cheaper for small offices or labs.
Execution/Repair: Finished paying through PayPal got my license key for SpeedyPc in my email went ahead and cleaned up the errors. It took about 3 min more but which was good enough.
Post Scan Review: Immediately after my initial SpeedyPc scan I couldn’t resist but went ahead with another scan, got some errors again. This would make most people think!!! Well, windows OS has a habit of creating empty registry files irrespective of being deleted and do no harm. All I needed to do was Continue Reading ->

I am an IT Engineer with 8 years of experience working with the BIG names. Thanks to the recession I was made redundant as my division closed!
Speedy-pc-fix.com was born out of the result of trying to fix my PC and being unable to find a review site to compare the numerous registry cleaners found online.
I hope the effort I have put into reviewing these products has made it easier for you to decide which product you would like to use to fix your PC.
Apart from this, I have also blogged about some interesting tips and tricks that might be useful.
